This silver pitcher was presented to David Elmore Bostwick on his 11th re-election as WM of St. Paul’s Lodge No. 11 in 1864. He was WM of St. Paul’s Lodge No. 11 from 1854 to 1866.
It has a round, swelled base decorative with a beaded rim and a band of flowers and leaves in repousse. The container, soldered to the smaller diameter of the top of base is bulbous and gradually diminishes in size until the throat flares into the curved top rim and lip. The case, hollow silver of rococo design is attached at top and on side. The front is decorative with repousse rococo design around a cartouche in which is engraved a small compass and square surrounding the letter “G” under which is written “Presented to/Bro. David E. Bostwick, W.M./of St. Paul’s Lodge No. 11 F. & A.M./By/the Members of St. Paul’s Lodge./Dec. 27th A.L. 5864”
