While not a federal holiday, Flag Day has been celebrated nationally every June 14 since 1916, when President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed it a national observance. Each year on Flag Day, Frederick Franklin Lodge meets, rain or shine, to celebrate the emblem of our nation and to symbolically replace the flag that flies atop the flagpole in front of our lodge. Originally organized by Right Worshipful Brother Frank Dlugoleski, this annual celebration has become a lodge tradition and is our unofficial start to summer.
