“Lodge Locator” explained:
“Lodge” is an ancient term to describe places where Stone Masons would work when building things like a castle or even a cathedral. Today the term is borrowed to describe the places that Freemasons meet formally. You’ve probably driven right past them without even noticing, as they are just normal buildings that usually have a ‘square & compasses’ on the outside. To help you connect with those in a Lodge near you-even just to take a tour and ask questions-we’ve provided a Lodge Locator that operates the same as a traditional store locator.
On behalf of all Connecticut Masons, we appreciate your interest, and look forward to helping you learn more about our work in our communities.
There are a few basic requirements. You must:
- Be a man of at least eighteen years of age.
- Be of good moral character and reputation.
- Be under no restraint of liberty.
- Have a belief in a “Supreme Being”.
- Be of sound mind and memory.
- Come to the doors Freemasonry of your own free will and accord.
To Be One Ask One!
