The bible verse for the Master Mason degree is, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.” In today’s language, the verse is saying, “Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him while you’re young and full of life because there is no pleasure in growing old and not giving God His honor.

The basic meaning of that verse illustrates that you are not your own; you have no right to yourself. God made you; He is your Creator. Remember these facts always; Remember Him in your youth as well as all the days of your life; do not fail to give God the first and the best.

Advance your travels in masonry with the same enthusiasm. Always remember your obligations and be the best example of what they mean to both you and your brothers. Last but not least, always give God the honor. Enthusiastic travels as a young mason combined with enthusiastically giving God His praises will result in having pleasure in and when passing the knowledge of your travels down to the next generation of young masons.
