Dear Brothers, Just a reminder and a few additional details regarding our upcoming fellowship event on Sunday, May 17. We will be gathering for a relaxing walk along the Farmington Canal Trail followed by ice cream at Ashley’s Ice Cream. This is intended to be a casual opportunity for fellowship and conversation outside of the lodge room. All are welcome to attend, including: Brothers, Significant Others, Family and Friends, and Non-Masons interested in joining us. We will meet at 11:00 AM at: 4340 Farmington Canal Heritage Trail (This is the parking and trail entrance location.) After the walk, we will head over together for ice cream and fellowship at Ashley’s Ice Cream. Brothers are encouraged to wear casual lodge apparel if they have it: polos, t-shirts, hats, jackets, etc. This is a relaxed event and a great opportunity to represent our lodge in the community. Please RSVP to Joseph K. Fried at josephkfried@gmail.com or 203-927-0003, so we can have an idea of who to expect. We hope many of you can join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon together. Dear Brothers, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide a correction and additional details regarding our upcoming Awards Night and Stated Communication on Wednesday, April 15, as the information in the recent Trestleboard was incomplete. The evening will begin with a short business meeting at 5:45 PM, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM. Please RSVP for dinner with our Junior Warden, Asanish Kalyanasundaram, at asanish.k@hotmail.co.uk or 360-206-8544. The Awards Night program will begin at 7:30 PM. Families and significant others are warmly invited to attend both dinner and the Awards Night program. Attire for the evening will be tuxedos for officers and jacket and tie for members. This will be a special evening as we honor several of our Brothers for their service and contributions to the Craft, including two Brothers celebrating 50 years of membership. I apologize for any confusion caused and appreciate your understanding. Please feel free to contact me if I can provide any additional information. We look forward to sharing this meaningful night with all of you. Fraternally, Bro. Joe |

Dear Brothers, I hope this message finds you well. As many of you know, our Brother Chris Bushy is currently serving on active duty overseas. I would like for our lodge to send a care package to let him know that his Brothers at Cosmopolitan Lodge are thinking of him and supporting him while he is away. If you would like to contribute, I have included two links below that outline recommended items to send as well as items that should not be mailed. Please review these before selecting anything for the package.
Brothers who would like to include letters, notes, or small items are encouraged to do so. Personal messages from the lodge will mean a great deal. If you are not currently in Connecticut but would still like to participate, you are welcome to mail your items or letters to me and I will include them in the lodge’s package. My address is: 189 Shagbark Ct, Cheshire, CT 06410 Please make sure all items are received by Wednesday, March 18. We will also be collecting items at lodge that evening before sending the package. Please also keep Brother Chris in your thoughts and prayers while he is serving overseas and away from home. If you have any questions or would like my mailing address to send your items, please feel free to email me directly at josephkfried@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for helping us support our Brother while he is serving our country. Fraternally, Bro. Joe Joseph K. Fried Worshipful Master |

March 31, 2025 Dear Brother, We have exciting news! New Haven Chapter, Order of DeMolay, which has been building fine young men since 1923, is being reactivated by a group of active Masons, many of whom were members of the Order of DeMolay when they were younger. DeMolay, founded in 1919, is for young men ages 12-21. Brotherhood, Service and Leadership are the heart of this organization. We will be holding an Open House event to introduce interested members of the Masonic Family to the Chapter and the new Advisory Council, and especially Chapter “Dad” Daniel Devoe. These dedicated men are experienced Advisors who will be a positive influence in the lives of the young men who join the Chapter. Our Open House will be held at the New Haven Masonic Temple, 285 Whitney Avenue, New Haven on Sunday April 27, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and we will have several members of the Connecticut State Suite of Officers to talk to any young men that come to the Open House. Please join us for this Open House and bring any young man between the ages of eleven (11) and Nineteen (19) who you think would benefit from membership in DeMolay. We would appreciate you contacting Dad Chris Earle to tell us how many are coming so we can plan refreshments. Dad Earle can be reached at 203-915-1229 or cearle@comcast.net. Please let him know by Friday April 25, 2025. We look forward to seeing you on April 27th at 2:00 p.m. Sincerely, “Dad” Brian Beals Executive Officer |
