| Brothers, With Halloween now behind us, I thought it better to send this notice out before the flurry of holiday celebrations, visits and family gatherings dominate our time and attention. First, some information regarding the Annual Meeting: With the 4th Friday of December falling on the 26th, it is necessary to move the date back to the previous week; so, the PLR Annual Meeting will take place on Friday, December 19. I'm hoping a good number of Brothers will be able to attend. |
| One of the most important items on the Agenda will be the securing of a full, functional line. A fragmented line isn't able to promote a good environment for the current Brothers, or as a lure to prospective members. Time better used for preparing a program is difficult with ad-hoc members filling the chairs. One of the primary needs to function as a successful lodge is to provide the structure necessary to operate properly. | Brothers, The October 24 meeting of PLR will take place at the Apartments of Ashlar Lodge No. 332, Masonicare at Ashlar Village, 74 Cheshire Rd, Wallingford, CT beginning at 7:30pm. A dinner invitation is extended to Brothers of PLR and interested Resident Brothers at 6:30pm in the dining room on the Ashlar Village Main floor. Details are given below. Several Papers of PLR's published past will be presented for the entertainment and education of the Brethren attending. |

| My Brothers, I've been approached regarding some confusion as to when our next PLR meeting will be held. Our next Stated will be held on Friday, September 26. According to our bylaws, Article 3, Section 1 (see attached file), states we do not meet in May unless by Special Communication. I am aware that there is a posting in Grandview noting a gathering tomorrow night, but it is in error. I regret the mixed messages in this regard, and look forward to seeing you in the fall. | TOUR OF GRAND LODGE RESEARCH LIBRARY On Saturday, March 15, from 9AM 'til noon, a tour of the Grand Lodge Research Library including a description of contents and how to secure information will be conducted by RWB David Stewart, Grand Historian, to all interested members of Research Lodges PLR and MLR and all Brothers at large. Dress is Casual. This is a splendid opportunity for Brothers looking for research topics and source materials to acquaint themselves with a valuable resource and individual assistance. The Grand Lodge Library is contained within the Grand Lodge Office, 69 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT. Light refreshments will be provided. Please R.S.VP. the Master, Bro.
