The Philosophic Lodge of Research in the Northern half of the State of Connecticut, like its Sister the Masonic Lodge of Research in the Southern region of Connecticut, does not initiate Freemasons.  Research Lodges are chartered by the Grand Lodge of Connecticut AF & AM to gather Master Masons together to study, investigate, write, and present their findings to the Craft.
