All are welcome — because it’s not just about turkey, it’s about togetherness

Thank You, Winona — From Winona Masonic Lodge #18

From the members of Winona Masonic Lodge #18, and on behalf of our current sitting Master Daddio Mangum, we would like to thank the volunteers and members of the community who helped make this year’s Not Just Turkey Community Dinner on November 27 a success. Now in its third year, this event continues to grow because of the people who show up, work together, and support one another.

Thank you to the lodge members and volunteers who spent the day preparing food, serving meals, welcoming visitors, and helping throughout the event:
Scott & Jacquelyn Banicki, Thomas Hill & Francisca Cornejo, Clint & Dawn More, Carl Mastenbrook, Gabriel Payne, Hallie, Susie Marshall, Victor Pinon, Bob, and The Stango Family (Tony, Stephanie, Eva, and Sophia).

We would also like to make a special acknowledgment to Derek Berg, who traveled from Mystic Star Masonic Lodge 69 in Rushford to volunteer and support the event. His willingness to join us from beyond Winona speaks to the strength of fellowship across our lodges.

We also appreciate the support of our donors, sponsors, and community partners, including:
Winona Civic Association, the Benevolent Association, Winona Masonic Lodge #18, VFW Post 1287, Chrissy Armitage, Pat Duffy, David Stoltman, Wayne Myhre  and the many community members who contributed in various ways.

Non-perishable food items were also collected and donated to Winona Volunteer Services’ food shelf helping support local families during the holiday season.

This year, we welcomed around 100 guests, reflecting the continued interest in and need for community gatherings like this.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, contributed, or joined us for a meal. Your involvement keeps this event moving forward. It’s Not Just Turkey — It’s Community.

Stay warm, stay connected, and stay involved — the holiday season is just getting started. And as you’re out shopping, don’t forget the bell ringers.

Sincerely,
Thomas Hill
Secretary
