Winona Lodge No. 18 Brethren, Happy December!
We extend our best wishes to the incoming officers for a successful and fulfilling year ahead. Officer Installation – December 16Please don’t forget that our annual installation of officers will take place on December 16.
This is a public ceremony, and all are welcome to attend. We encourage you to invite family, friends, and anyone interested in learning more about Freemasonry. Masonic Children’s Hospital FundraiserDeputy Grand Master Shawn R. Carrick has launched this year’s Christmas and New Year fundraiser for the Minnesota Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. The purpose is to provide art supplies and creative projects for children receiving treatment—small gifts that help lift their spirits during the long summer months. This year will be Winona Lodge’s first time supporting this statewide effort, and we are proud to take part. The overall fundraising goal is $6,000. The funds we raise at the 3rd Annual Salsa Rica Event on February 28 will be dedicated to supporting this initiative. At our meeting on Tuesday, we set a lodge goal of at least $500. That’s just 25 packs of tickets—so if 13 members sell two packs each (just $40 total), we’ll exceed our goal. Even better, Masonic Benevolence will match whatever we raise. (I have my tickets) To get your ticket packs, please contact the lodge or W. Bro. Tony Stango. A Little Christmas CheerAs we move through December, may the season bring light, fellowship, and goodwill to you and your families. And let us remember those who bring warmth to the community—including the bell ringers braving the winter chill, reminding us all of the spirit of generosity. May your homes be bright, your hearts full, and your winter nights warmed by friendship and brotherly love. Fraternally, |

Brethren, As we move into October, our Lodge has much to look forward to and much to reflect upon. Several brothers participated in this year’s Cemetery Walk, held in conjunction with the Winona County Historical Society. The event drew over 1,400 participants and raised just over $9,000.00 — a wonderful success that highlights our continued commitment to community engagement and the preservation of local history. We also take a moment to remember Brother Edward Littlejohn Jr., who passed this past February. Brother Littlejohn’s steady presence and kind spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His dedication to the Craft and to our fellowship stands as an enduring example of Masonic virtue and brotherly love.
Please also watch for your dues notices, which we have sent out. You may mail your payment directly to the Lodge or pay conveniently through Grand View, where you can also set up automatic payments so you’ll never have to worry about missing a due date. We kindly request that all Brothers keep us updated on their contact information. You can reach us anytime at winonalodge18@gmail.com, or by regular mail at: May this October bring us fellowship, reflection, and renewed purpose as we honor the past and continue to serve together. Fraternally, |
Brethren,
This is a reminder of our Stated Communication on Tuesday, October 7th, at 7:00 p.m.
A light collation will be served prior, and fellowship with the brethren is encouraged.
