Bobby Houston Obituary
Bobby Neal Houston, born in Mooresville, NC, was a man who never met a stranger. Having retired from the Air Force, he still regularly enjoyed visiting Fort Liberty to golf with his buddies. A member of local Masonic order Lebanon Lodge # 391, Bob enjoyed 50 years of service and was honored in a ceremony by the lodge for this service in 2023. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family in a myriad of ways and places—he would make yearly travels to Las Vegas for fun, food, and site-seeing and North Dakota for pheasant and buck hunting. He is survived by son Steve Houston (Beth), daughter Betty Houston Brown, three grandchildren—Amanda Sharpe (Preston), Matthew Houston, and Claire Brown—and two great-grandchildren—Lochlan and Greyson Sharpe—who all love and will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Minnie, and a son of his namesake. He was called home on January 19 by God and his late wife to spend what would have been her 88th birthday in heaven with her. The celebrations will be eternal.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM in the Rogers and Breece Chapel.
