Welcome to St. John's Lodge No. 2

St. John's Lodge No. 2 is  the second oldest Masonic Lodge in the State of Connecticut, having been originally Chartered by Thomas Oxnard, Pro. Grand Maaster of North America on February 14, 1754.  Then being chartered by the Grand Lodge of the State of Connecticut of A.F & A.M. on May 20, 1796.  St. John's Lodge has been in Middletown since it was chartered and met at different locations until they were able to build a lodge in the mid 1800's. In the 1920's, that building was sold so a new building, an old manson, could be bought and a beautiful lodge could be added onto it.  This was completed in 1925 and has been the home of St. John's Lodge ever since.  This year marks a new transition for St. John's Lodge.  St. John's Lodge is moving one more time; this time to Meriden Connecticut where St. John's Lodge will continue to thrive as it has all these years.
