Ira A. Beck No. 503 Grand Lodge Of Michigan Established May 25th, 1921 |
| Brothers and friends of Ira A. Beck Lodge No. 503, I bring you greetings from Worshipful Master, John Blanchard. A lot has transpired since our last communication. I am pleased to inform you all that Ira A. Beck, Lodge No. 503 continues to live on. The Lodge voted in favor of the bylaws amendments which were proposed. These proposed bylaws were then forwarded onto the Grand Secretary and Grand Master, at the time, Eugene Abbaticchio. I also discussed the urgency of our request with incoming Grand Master William Sauget. Upon our arrival home from Grand Lodge, the signed bylaws were already in the mailbox, signed by PGM Abbaticchio before the end of his term. We are beyond grateful at Grand Lodge's efficiency in processing this request. Lodge officers have been in discussion with the Bedford Masonic Temple Board and I believe we have the bones of an agreement. They have requested we participate in their Temple Board and seem excited to collaborate with Lodge 503. There are plans for a workgroup at the Bedford Temple on July 16 at 6 PM to finalize the deal. All are welcome to attend. We've done nothing in the dark and see no benefit to it. Our next stated communication will be August 20th at 7 PM at the Bedford Masonic Temple. As you will recall, the third Wednesday is our new meeting night. |
| We will need to assess lodge equipment and begin the move from the Battle Creek Masonic Temple to temporary storage prior to being able to utilize the Bedford Masonic Temple. Worshipful Master requests any interested parties reach out to him. As we will not have room for everything, some items will be donated to the Battle Creek Masonic Temple Museum and Library. There will be limited storage space available to the Lodge in the Bedford Temple. |
