Welcome to Ira A. Beck Lodge No. 503!

Freemasonry is a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. Ira A. Beck Lodge No. 503 was named for a local Freemason who at the time of its chartering on May 25th, 1925, was the sitting Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Michigan. The actual age of the fraternity is unknown, but the first Grand Lodges were established about 300 years ago in the UK.

For the last 100 plus years the men of the Lodge have welcomed men of good standing and throught the lessons taught in our system of degrees, the association and mentorship of other good men, and leadership lessons learned through practical application have assisted those men to become better and more virtuous versions of themselves.

Freemasonry is open to all good men who profess faith in a of their choosing deity. No atheist or satinist may be made a Mason. Often misconstrued by society and conspiracists, Masonry is not a religion or a replacement for religion. Although many members have professed the fraternity has led them to seek more education about their personal religion, enhancing thier association with their religious home.

Masons do not activly recruit although a member is free to suggest the fraternity to a man he feels may be a good fit. It is also NOT necessary to have a family connection to Freemasonry or some other invitation. On simply need to ask a Freemason to start the journey. We refer to this as 2B1ASK1 which may be done in person or electronically.

If you are a visiting Brother from a regularly recognized jurisdiction, we would love to have you vist our communications. If you are a good man and are interested in more information about the fraternity or in joining us, we would love the opportunity to speak with you.
