A quick note to let everyone know that we are planning on having an EA rehearsal tonight at the Lodge.
Additionally, It's the 4th Wednesday, our unofficial second meeting day! So if you have apart you'd like to go over, steps you'd like to rehearse or if you'd like to come down for some informal Fraternal Brotherhood, tonight is the night.

Planning to start about 6:30 ish. I hope you can make it tonight.

   Good evening Brothers all! Holy Moly! It's December already!! I hope each of you had an excellent Thanksgiving holiday!! This is a quick reminder that our Annual Communication is next Tuesday; 12/10/24. I sincerely hope you can attend and have your vote counted as we elect our Officers for 2025!! As usual, dinner starts at 6:30. Gavel drops at 7:30 'sharp'!! We will need some brothers to arrive a little early to inspect the books. in light of the impending weather I am sending this email out to affirm that we will hold our stated meeting Tuesday Evening unless the Governor closes the roads. Please use your best judgment and travel safely.  We will be discussing  the design of a new sign for the Lodge as well as a petition for affiliation. We also have another candidate I hope to assign an investigating committee for. 
The grand lodge also has announcements I would like to pass along and discuss with everyone.

I have been informed that this Saturday at 4:00 pm our Deputry Grand Master will be at our Lodge to present information to multiple prospective candidates through the EMR System. 
I encourage all to attend and be part of this event. This could be the start of a very successful program for our Lodge encouraging men to join our ranks. 
Having our next Grand Master present is always a reason to change your plans for the afternoon and enjoy some fraternal camaraderie. 
Light snacks and drinks will be provided so please plan to attend and represent our lodge.

Grand Lodge has decreed that we will perform an EA degree at our next stated. In light of that order I would like to hold a practice next Tuesday for all to brush up on our rolls and put on the best degree possible.

Saturday is the semi annual meeting of Grand Lodge. Any Brothers that would like to attend are welcome. I will be at Ionic lodge at 6:45 am to meet with anyone who would like to travel with me. 
It is about an hour ride to the meeting so please don't be late. I have room for three in my car plus myself. If more Brothers want to attend we can caravan from Ionic.

I would like to perform a Mock EA degree at our next stated for our inspection. In order to do this I would like to hold a practice Thursday the 26th and Thursday the 2 nd both at 6:30 pm. Brothers All. 
We are now at the end of our summer break and the time has come to freshen up our ritual and welcome new members. As far as I know we still have One Brother that needs his MM Degree. I would like to do that in November. 
on another note, Wehad a tremendous summer with several Lodge days and were able to accomplish several Huge projects. The outside of the lodge underwent a clean-up that hasn't been done in years. Thanks to the brothers that donated their time and tools. 
The inside has undergone a transformation thanks to the many organizations that belong to our Building Corp.

New paint, and Windows that have been secured, with insulation. 
We still have a long way to go, but I am confident with the help of All the Bodies, we will complete the transformation soon. 
next week we will have a regular meeting with many things to discuss. Please make every effort to attend as we will be finalizing possible committee members for our financial board and other comitees.

on August 12 we will be having a work party to paint the Dinning area of our Lodge. The C&E has picked the color and we need help to remove all Items from the walls and paint the dinning Hall as well as the kitchen area. Please make every effort to support this project and move Our Lodge forward with its beautification  process. I will also be there on Sunday the 13'th to put things back in order after the painting is completed. I will provide lunch on both days for all volunteers. 
I plan to be there from 8:00 am till? Both days. All tolls and materials will be provided. Thank you for your continued support.

  This weekend I have scheduled a ‘lodge clean-up event’  We will be doing a thorough cleaning of both the inside of the building and surrounding grounds.
  It has been a few years since we put in the work to make our building shine. 
  
  We will do this on both Saturday and Sunday from 9-3.  I ask all who are able to come down for a few hours on either day and help where your abilities and skills permit. 
  So, come down and show your pride in our lodge.

      This Wednesday we will be reviewing the proposal from the finance committee and voting to approve it. 
      We will also be working in our Family Picnic this summer. Brother Fred has agreed to take the lead in this but will need help. Please volunteer your time and expertise toward this event. 
      As part of our educational program our Steward will be reviewing the Jr Deacon's role in the lodge and his responsibilities. 
     As always I am eager to hear from each of you as to what we can do to improve our lodge and serve our community.

I am sorry for the late communication. 
Tonight's meeting will be preceded by a quick meeting of our new finance committee at 6:00 pm. They will be finalizing a plan to present to the Lodge for your consideration. This is the first step toward securing the financial future of Ionic Lodge. 
     We will discuss their findings and plan for the next step at our regular stated. Please make every effort to attend tonight so we can All make a decision together. I want to here Everyone's opinion and any Ideas you may have about this important step forward. 
     Also we will be discussing other committees and what their goals will be for the rest of the year. 
     Each meeting will have a specific goal so please attend all of them. We can only move forward with Us all moving together.

     As I have indicated before we will be discussing several very important issues at this meeting and I want to here everyone's opinion on each topic. We will  be making decisions and appointing committees for several different tasks that will be accomplished this year. So if you want to volunteer your services or expertise in a particular area. Please do so.

3-14 Stated. Plan first fundraiser suggested by Craft. Review findings of Committee for Investgments. Continuing Education presented by Past Most Worshipful William Greene.Propose first Clean-up Crew and Date for Lodge Projects. IE Paint Walls in Dinning area. Buff and wax floor.

4-11 Stated Finalize paperwork for Investment strategy and vote on officers to oversee. Steward will explain role of the Jr. Deacon in Lodge.Plan Family Picnic and assign committee, open to all Lodges and Families.

4-? MM Degree, All Past Masters to Confer Degree. Details will be announced as they unfold on Grand Lodge Website.

5-9 Stated. Sign contract with Financial Advisor and have funds transfered to new account. Have Jr. Deacon explain role of Sr. Deacon in Lodge. Plan next Fundraiser (suggested by Craft).

we (I ) couldn't pull together tomorrow's scheduled MM degree so it's canceled, I would like to tell you I'm sorry for the inconvenience it's created. 
 

we are taking our fellowcrafts to be raised as Master Masons on October 1st, it will be held at the Hartford County 4-H camp 247 S Rd Marlborough Ct 06447. 
 

it's going to be quite the event, I'm told the camps been rented for the weekend and with permission from their Worshipful it could be possible to camp over, it that's your thing

this is a reminder that this Sunday we're doing a cleanup at the lodge, it'll be an easy day , if you want to help your lodge by doing outside work, awesome, if you want to work inside, I promise they'll be something for everyone. Afterwards we'll do a lite lunch and then go about our day I figure on being there from 10am -1pm, hope to see you there

I hope this post finds you well, I will be concise, if you were add our stated communication on Tuesday you know that we are postponing the Master Mason degree slated for the 18th (Saturday) we are doing this so we can put on the best degree befitting our talents. The new date is 10 Sept 22 with the following practice dates July 5th & 19th, Aug 9th & 23rd, possibly Sep 6 (if needed). 
This is all hands on deck to raise a brother, I need you to contact me on how you want to help (I didn't see this email till September is lame lol). I have two large hams that will need cooking 🙂 and of course your participation will be a great honor to your lodge and the fraternity
to ease any anxiety, we are blessed beyond measure that our Brother Gail N Smith is doing the heavy parts, so we need to be there for him as well 💪🏻😇

Citizenship Awards 

Brothers all , tomorrow Tuesday 31 is our annual awards night.

I'm planning on getting there about 6 to help set up and get things in proper order, many masons make for lite work, please show up early if you can. If not, we'll make it happen, and your presence at 6:30 would be great. We're have in a meal at 7:00 with the awards to follow.

     As most of you have heard Moriah Lodge was broken into and ransacked last week the damage was extensive and we are devastated that someone could be so cruel. 
     To try and offset the losses we are putting in a comedy show fund raiser. It will be held at the American Cafe in Plainfield Ct.  on June 12 at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and advertisers start at $100 for their name on a banner behind the comedians and also on flyers on each table and on the website. 
     Please make every effort to attend this event and reach out to your employers or friends that own businesses that might advertise. All Checks can be made out to Moriah Lodge #15.
