Brethren, Just a reminder about the quarterly Ladies Night event that is being held in conjunction with our Masonic Holiday (St. John the Baptist Day) on June 21, 2025, meal blessing at 6:30p. We already have live music set up. The meal will be catered by GK's here in town. This again is being hosted as a couples type evening if possible, so while children are welcome we are asking you to treat your wife/girlfriend to a Saturday night dinner out with a babysitter at the house. For our single brethren, we will have plenty of room and tables for a bachelor crowd to be social as well. Menu:
We plan to have a few toasts (grape juice and wine available) that evening and eat on the fine china. This will not be a traditional Masonic St. John's evening for the fellas, for those that have attended ours and others in the past. If logistics work out we hope to have linen tablecloths in place as well as chair covers to dress up the evening that much more. If you have been speaking with any of the Masonic prospects, invite them and their lady if they have one. Do you know of a brother who has stepped back from the Lodge some time ago or are you a brother who hasn't been in the building in some time? Please reach out and come, renovations are happening, there are new members you need to meet and our faithful "seasoned" masons are still here and would love to catch up with you. Brethren there is no grip or word needed to get you in the door, this will be a social and fun evening. As a special note, we want to open the doors to any of our widows. So please ensure that any that may be interested are aware so they can be considered in the headcount. If a ride is needed, we can work it for these ladies and even our brothers that aren't as comfortable after sunset. With that, please reply back to CrownPointLodge708@gmail.com, with your parties headcount. We want to ensure we have plenty of food, but also not an excessive amount to deal out to-go plates. At present there is no cost to attend like at the others, however we will set out the donation basket in the pantry for any wishing to donate. Feel free to bring your own bottle of wine for the meal, there is room in the refrigerators in the pantry area. The fridge will have all other beverages provided. |
Brethren,
Just a reminder that tomorrow (December 14) is our Stated Communication. There is a meal at this meeting at 6:30p with the meeting opening at 7:30p. We will be voting on a Petition for the Degrees as well as having a Closed Installation of Officers within the meeting. Officers attire is black (or dark) suit with a black bowtie. Hoping you all will be able to attend as we install some new officers with a few seasoned Past Masters back in elected and appointed chairs.
As a reminder all dues for 2024 are due by January 1 and all officers must have paid their 2024 dues prior to installation. Hoping to see you all there as we close out 2023 and look to the East for an amazing 2024.
Brethren just a reminder of the November 9th Stated at 7:30pm. We will have a catered meal from Rouses Resturant at 6:30pm. During this meeting we will welcome a special guest in the Senior Grand Warden. Other items of interest at this meeting will be the election of officers for 2024, as well as a special and unique educational program presented by the Worshipful Master. Hoping you all can attend this special and important meeting going into the close out of the 2023 year. As a note, officers will be in coat and tie.
Brethren,
This notification is being sent to you on behalf of the Officers of Crown Point, to notify you that on September 28, 2023 at 7:30pm there will be a vote to admend the Bylaws. The proposed change will be attached and is regarding reducing the number of Stated Communications from two a month down to one a month. We as you know currently only meet once in the months of November and December. This change if approved by a 2/3rds vote, would drop the second meeting in each month from January to October. The time of 7:30p would not change. We would still have a meal at 6:30p at each meeting. The night of the meeting (being the 2nd Thursday) would also not change. This change is being proposed by the current officers after much discussion and attendance in the second meeting since the reopening of the Lodge after Covid. The proposed change was read last night in open Lodge and must lay over 30-days. Take due notice and govern yourself accordingly.
