Brethren, Phoenix Lodge No. 8 will host the Assistant Grand Secretary, WB Matthew Robbins, tomorrow night, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 6:30pm for an educational presentation on the history of Phoenix Lodge. The architectural legacy of Freemason’s Hall on Saint John’s Square in Fayetteville. A canal by the lodge? The workmen assaulted? How many chandeliers? Where is the oldest cornerstone in the state? This presentation will be open to everyone, this is not a tiled meeting. Come find out how Phoenix Lodge built its own truth. |

Brethren, the Master has arranged for a night at the Cross Creek Rifle and Pistol Club for you and your family members over 18 years of age. Please see detail below WHO- All Brother Masons and their family members over 18. Limited to 40 shooters max. What- Range Day When- 19 July (rain date of 21 July) @ 6:00 pm Where- Cross Creek Rifle and Pistol Club 3229 Blossom Rd, Hope Mills Why- Fun General Information You will be met at the front gate and directed where to park. Please leave all firearms in your vehicle until directed. Each shooter needs a minimum of 30 rounds. Take all instruction from the Range Master and Safeties. The shooting protocol will follow the shooting portion required for NC Carry Concealed permit. See the Range Master if you are interested in obtaining a permit. There will be over 40 pistols available for use. If you are interested in buying a new pistol try it out here first. I assume he will have multiple calibers available. However, bring your own ammo. Brethren, it is with deep sadness and heartfelt sympathy that I inform the craft that Worshipful Brother Butch Trimmer has laid down his working tools of life and entered that celestial lodge above. The family will receive friends at Village Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 1:00 – 1:50 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Main Post Cemetery on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors. Brethren, there are threatening storms moving over the Old North State tomorrow. Take due notice thereof and govern yourselves accordingly.
As we enter the winter season and the bi-polar nature of our Southland's weather, please remember that safety is key. It is the policy of the Grand Lodge to trust and allow the Master of each lodge to determine the safety and wellbeing of his lodge hall. The Master may, upon his own power and perogative, call off any Stated or Emergent Communication if severe weather or some other disaster threatens the safety and well being of his brethren and the members of the lodge.
The Worshipful Master has canceled the Stated Meeting tonight and rescheduled it for this Thursday, January 11, 2023, dinner to be served at 6:30.

Phoenix Lodge No. 8 will have their installation of elected and appointed officers for the 2024 year on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 10am. As a result our monthly fellowship breakfast will not be held. I look forward to seeing you all at the lodge.

Brethren, it is with heartfelt sympathy that I inform the craft that Brother Kenneth Hoots has laid down the working tools of life and answered the summons of the Grand Architect of the Universe.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on December 21, 2023 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church, Spring Lake. A Celebration of Life service honoring Kenneth's life will be held following the visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Burial with masonic Rites will immediately follow the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Liberty.
Brethren, we have a Brother that passed away Saturday, Bro Harold Tolar, 48 year member, his daughter contacted the lodge and requested masonic rites, funeral is at Jernigan Warren tomorrow Thursday, November 2, 2023 @ 2:00pm, Please attend if within your cabletow.
