| Brothers Friendly reminder that the Naja Shrine Circus is in town this weekend and we a looking for volunteers. |
| Set up is tomorrow @ 9 am at the Monument. Friday there are 2 shows first one is at 1pm second at 7pm Saturday there are also 2 shows at the the same times as above Sunday there is a 2pm performance and then we start tear down Why would you want to help and volunteer? Glad you asked the simple and easiest reason is because of all the fun, joy and laughter you see on the children's faces when they first enter the big top. The excitement is so contagious that you cant help but to enjoy yourself and become a kid again taking pictures with the clowns. 2nd reason is that while you are helping out not only do you get to meet new brothers and there ladies you will be earning money for your lodge. Every hour counts so if you can only work a few hours that is fine. There are many different places to work such as selling novelties, slushies, and cotton candy. I'm sure if you wanted to our Air Patrol Unit would let you spin some cotton candy. You can also walk around and sell candy bars at intermission with the provost and other Shriners. Our Very own PGM Jeff VanCuren who also happens to be this years Potentate runs the Novelties with his beautiful lady Pam, would love to teach you the ropes. Brothers this is not a cry for help this is a opportunity to work with another appendant body and help build a strong bond of brotherhood, all while eating cotton candy and slushies until we are on a sugar high. If you can find it with in the length of your cable tow to come out and help I promise you wont be disappointed. Please call me for any questions or if your ready to have the time of your life. | Brothers of Mt Rushmore Lodge #220 On Behalf of Worshipful Master Chris McKiven I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits. in the the attached packet you can read what has been going on with the building. On Feb 19th the Building Association will be voting on whether to Sell or Continue to attempt to restore our building. The reason for this message is that we ( the lodge officers and appointed ) would like the opinion good or bad of all the brothers on what we should do. The way that the association works is our lodge has 3 trustees that speak for are lodge at these meetings however, this being such a monumental decision they would like everyone's thoughts on what direction we will go. Their are a lot of un answered questions that will be asked but for now the main 2 in my opinion are 1. What is the building worth? we have no Idea. If they choose to sell than they will look further into this will come up with a number. 2. Where would the money go? as of right now it is my understanding that the RCMBA would use it to purchase, rent, or build another building for us. remember brothers this is all in the infancy stage, there is a lot more steps to be taken before we do what our RCMBA decides to do. We would like your thoughts on the matter at hand.
