From the Desk of the Secretary
Greetings Brothers, it is absolutely important that we have the operating funds that are necessary for the Lodge to do functions. That includes the administrative and overhead costs for supplies and rent, contributing to community activities, and paying Grand Lodge Quarterly Taxes.
We generate the operating funds through dues, donations, and fundraisers.
A very substantial part of every dollar you pay into the Lodge Treasury in the form of dues is used to pay the Grand Lodge Per-Capita levied against every member. This represents a vital contribution by Masons, not only for the support of normal activities of the Grand Lodge but also for the upkeep of its very generous outside work among indigent Masons, their widows, and orphans. The balance of your dues is used to defray the cost of the following Lodge expenditures:
1. Rental of the Lodge room.
2. Expense for the Secretary's office expense
A. Paper
B. Ink Cartridge
C. Printing Candidates' packets and welcome letter
D. Support of Social Activities
3. Charitable disbursements to needy Brethren, widows and orphans
4. Other Lodge expenses, including the cost of printing, stationery, postage, dues cards, forms and certificates, floral tributes to departed members, etc.
We need your full participation in each area by paying your dues promptly when asked, contributing donations; also, and being a part of the fundraising committees. We welcome fresh ideas and ways to make money.
With your full participation, we can accomplish our goals for the year.
Remember, dues are due by 31 December each year.
