Greetings, Brothers, We’re excited to invite you to our annual Chicken Dinner, held at the Lodge Hall on Thursday, November 7th, at 7 PM. For our newer brothers, this event is a special opportunity for those interested in serving in one of the elected offices to share their vision and for all of us to ask questions and offer support. We call it our Chicken Dinner because we come together to enjoy some delicious fried and baked chicken, sides, and fellowship. It’s a chance to relax, break bread with one another, and plan the future of our Lodge. This isn’t a formal or tiled meeting, so feel free to come as you are. All we ask is that you bring an open mind, an attentive ear, and of course, Brotherly Love. Please let me know if you’d like to bring a dish to complement the meal. We’ll need sides, drinks, and if someone’s feeling generous, dessert to round things out! During this meeting, we will focus exclusively on discussing the open elected seats for our upcoming December election. Introduction: Of all the brothers present Meeting Guidelines: 1. Discussion Topics • Only the open elected seats for December will be discussed. These seats are: • Worshipful Master • Senior Warden • Junior Warden • Secretary • Treasurer • Three Year Trustee 2. Candidate Statements • Each Brother interested in running for one of these open seats will be given (3) three minutes to state his intentions and present his case for why he should hold that position. 3. Questions for Candidates • Each Brother may ask one question directed toward a candidate, limited to (1) one minute per question. • This format ensures that all Brothers who wish to ask questions can do so, respecting everyone’s time. 4. Time Management • To maintain a timely and efficient meeting, we aim to keep the discussion to no more than two hours. This structure is designed to ensure a respectful, organized meeting and to allow all candidates and Brothers a fair opportunity to share their thoughts within a focused timeframe. |
