| Brothers, It's blood drive time! Our 36th annual blood drive is this Thursday 9am-6pm. We have 24 of 60 signed up and only 4 are masons. Please sign up at BLOOD DRIVE SIGN UP HERITAGE HOUSE JAN 9th. Also, 8:00am-8:45am is setup if you can make it out to help setup tables, chairs, etc. 6pm-7pm will be closing up if you can make it out to help with that it won't take 30 minutes. Throughout the day it's good for masons to be around helping donors, helping with cookies and drinks and chatting with donors if you are fortunate to not have to work, please come out and hang around a while. | Brethren - This is a reminder of the Mooresville Christmas Parade next Mooresville lodge will be in the parade along with the Shriners as usual. Be advised that the route will be closed at 2 pm, so you should be in town to park by about 1:30 pm. The parade starts at 3 pm and you will want to meet at the lodge or at Bro. Mike Cook's house (158 McNeely Avenue) by 2 pm, and walk over to our position at space #6 in front of the Food Lion shopping center on N. Main St. (See attached maps.) | Brothers, We did receive enough men to cover the times for the donations just in time for an email to arrive from Grand Lodge asking us not to double efforts by creating our own plans. In response to that, we're pumping the brakes. Any donations you have or you can collect from your family and friends, please bring it to lodge on Tuesday night October 10th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm prior to the meeting. A couple brothers will put efforts together to transport it to one of the collection sites the Grand Lodge has already set up. Lincolnton, Salisbury, or Winston are the closest. Brethren, Several brothers have put thought to a way the Mooresville Masonic Lodge can do their part in the Western NC assistance. Below is the idea. We need your help with a time commitment. Tuesday October 1st to Thursday October 10th, we need to fill 2 shifts at the lodge. All you have to do is unlock the door and set there and accept donations. If you don’t have a key, someone will coordinate with you to get the door unlocked and the last out can lock the door on the way out at 7pm. The shifts will be 3pm-5pm and 5pm-7pm each day. The donations will be transported to Statesville Airport on Friday October 11th or Saturday morning the 12th after breakfast. Please send an email to mooresvillemasoniclodge@gmail.com with the time you can help. We need you to do this today so we can coordinate and get advertisement to the community via social media in all ways we can. Just respond and say “I CAN HELP ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 3RD 3PM – 5PM OR YOU IF YOU CAN choose 3PM -7PM. That is an option. | This Saturday is the Alzheimer's Walk being held to benefit that organization. We are looking for as many members who can to participate in this event. We are now receiving it in bulk directly and we must distribute it ourselves. I have already placed multiple copies on each level of our lodge building for you to take whenever you are at the lodge. Copies are now on the table at the dining room entrance, as well as by the front door and the sign-in table on the lodge level. Should you wish to read the issues, which are quarterly, on-line rather than as hard copy I will be getting the link to you shortly. The past few years have not been kind to our brother as he battled Alzheimer's from my understanding. For those of you who are not aware of it Bro. Tonny Lee Hartsell passed away Thursday. Bro. Hartsell was of Mooresville Lodge in 1975. His visitation will be held this Saturday, February 24th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Cavin-Cook Funeral home. Burial, however won't be until July. No Masonic services will be held on Saturday.

This message is to inform you that the Modified Ritual Instruction Program, aka School of Instruction, has been moved from Mt. Moriah Lodge to Mooresville Lodge on March 2nd. Mooresville will provide a wonderful breakfast at 7am. The event starts at 8am and ends at 1pm. Bring your OSW/Bahnson Manual and officers study up. Due to the way Grand View processes dues notices a situation has reared its ugly head. Many, if not all, dues notices for 2024 which were generated and sent out in early November 2023 did not actually go out until January and February of this year. Of those, many still have not been sent. I have made the appropriate people aware of this.
Due to the problem this year many of you may not realize our dues went up for 2024 and that they were due January 1st. If you have not already paid your dues for 2023 please get them in promptly so that we may pay our current bills on time
. I thank you for your patience with us as we, and Grand Lodge, work through the difficult transition to a new record keeping system. .

The LKN Shrine Club along with Mooresville & Campbell masonic lodges are invited to FEED NC 2456 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville on TUESDAY JANUARY 30th at 7pm, arrive around 6:45pm. This is the 5th Tuesday and nobody has a meeting. We’d like to see 5-10 from each lodge/club. They’re going to take us on a tour of the new facility and maybe we can come up with some ideas of how Masons and Shriners can help them. The tour will be an hour or less.

Brethren - As you should know, at our September 12th meting we voted to increase the 2014 lodge dues from $150 per year to $200 per year. (We reported this in the minutes of last meeting which are posted on Grand View within a day or two of every meeting.) This message is a reminder to start thinking about budgeting for your next year's dues. It is also a reminder to those planning to attend the Grand Lodge Annual Communication next week. You need to register via Grand View if you are a delegate planning to attend. Those delegates not able to attend can get their proxy on Grand View also. BE advised that Grand View is becoming the center of all Grand Lodge interfacing with the lodge level. Take note that even paying your dues via Grand View is about to become a reality.
