FORWARDED MESSAGE: Good Afternoon Brethren: I hope all are well. I'm writing to invite you to our upcoming Fall Reunion at the Valley of Wilmington, to be held October 25th and 26th at the E.Earl Wells Scottish Rite Center in Wilmington. At each reunion we honor a Brother that has passed on by naming the class in his honor. This Fall we will honor a true Masonic hero and Mason's Mason: The Fall 2024 class at the Valley of Wilmington will be named in honor of Ill. Sir. Dalton Wayne Mayo 33o, Past Grand Master of Masons in NC. This reunion will begin a new chapter in our Valley's history and, at the same time, honor the men who have come before us by recommitting to the principals and mission of our Order. We have a unique opportunity at the Valley of Wilmington to offer men "Further Light," and that's largely due to the great work and stewardship of our predecessors. I want to encourage all members to be a part of this endeavor. Our focus will be practical application of the lessons communicated in the High Degrees; working to inspire action and higher aims within the class AND our brethren. If you have a short story or memory you would like to share about our MW Brother Dalton, please join us on Friday or Saturday as we set aside some time to honor this great Mason. The link for the petition is below; share this email with your fellow Master Masons and encourage them to join us! I hope to see you at the Valley in the Fall. https://scottishrite.jotform.com/230324007581951
Sincerely & Fraternally,
Aaron B. Jackson 919-820-1909 P.S If you are on a degree team, be on the lookout for an email from me within the next few weeks. |

Brethren: In speaking with Bro. Jessie Johnson, the preferred method to donate toward covering Bro. Kenneth Edwards funeral expenses would be by check. A check can be dropped off at Skinner & Smith at the front office or it can be mailed to: Skinner & Smith Funeral Home 905 Erwin Rd. Dunn, NC 28334 On the memo line of the check please put "Kenneth Edwards". Please consider helping the widow of our brother during this time of loss. Fraternally, Aaron Jackson Secretary Mingo 206 |

Brethren: It saddens me to report the passing of Brother Kenneth Edwards. Brother Kenneth was a member of our lodge as well as Relief Lodge 431 in Benson, who will be taking care of the Masonic Rites at the graveside. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home by Rev. E. C. Mattocks. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 2:50 p.m. prior to the service. Please note that the family has asked for donations be made to Skinner & Smith in order to cover the cost of our Brother's funeral expenses. Please consider donating. Brethren:
Dues notices were mailed earlier this week and should be arriving most anytime if they haven't already. Each member will receive a notice whether paid or not/endowed or not because there is a letter contained within that explains our need for increasing the amount of our yearly dues, which our lodge did in December. All dues cards for members that have already paid, or who are endowed members, have been mailed.
If there are any questions please reach out.

Brethren our Annual Charity Golf Tournament is November 11 at Timerblake Golf Club in Clinton. We all should be working to get sponsors and teams for this event. I passed out our prospective sponsor list in September but if you need one, please email me and I'll send it to you.
The cost to sponsor a hole is $100 and the cost to sponsor a team is $300.
Please consider sponsoring a hole yourself or as a family. We obligated ourselves to support widows and orphans and sponsoring a hole at our tornament is a great way to honor your obligation and support our charities.
If you would like to sponsor a hole please reach out to me, or if you have collected sponsorship money, please let me know that as well.
If there are any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
Aaron Jackson, PM

Brethren:
The MHCO Pizza Party scheduled for tomrrow has been cancelled. WB Martin spoke with the folks at Oxford and they thought it best to not have the kids make the trip from the cottages to the cafeteria during the rain and wind expected tomorrow. They also mentioned that they have been having issues loosing power during storms and they felt that there was a good chance they would loose it tomorrow based on the forecast.
WB Martin let them know that we would discuss a way forward at our October Stated and be in touch. The Brethren at Coharie were informed of the cancellation as well.
