Welcome to Lake Shore Lodge No. 298!
On May 22, 1871, at a special meeting, W.M. Leeds read the dispensation from the Grand Lodge of Michigan and Masonry was on its way in Benton Harbor. The name Lake Shore Lodge was chosen, the fees for membership were set at $21 and the yearly dues were $3. The stated communication to be held each month on the first Monday on, or before, the full moon. The by-laws of Occidental Lodge No. 56 were adopted. They agreed to pay the Tyler $1 for each stated communication and fifty cents for each special. It was his duty to build the fires and keep the hall clean.
