Jefferson Penn No. 384 Grand Lodge Of North Carolina, A.F. & A.M. |
The Lodge was opened by Master John Durham who conducted the degree assisted by Senior Deacon Br Melvin Hill, Junior Deacon WBr Joe Castellano, Junior Warden Br Chris DeLapp, and Chaplain Br Sammy Fulp; all from Jefferson Penn Lodge and with Pro Tems as Senior Warden, Senior and Junior Stewards; all from Leaksville Lodge and Dan River Lodge. The Aprons were presented by DDGL WBr Joshua Ryan Payne from Tobasco Lodge No.271 as well as the Lecture and Closing Charge. DDGP WBr Clifford Shrewsbury received word from the Grand Master about "Together we rise" and stated that the turnout from the other lodges that night represented this. Remember that the first meeting in November is our annual lodge day when we vote for the officers for 2025. Your 2025 Lodge dues of $152.00 may be paid at any time. WBr Paul Tutherow Asst. Secty. |
TRESTLEBOARD FOR OCTOBER 2024 on 10/17/2024
Jefferson Penn No. 384 Grand Lodge Of North Carolina, A.F. & A.M. |
Our last big chance to sell raffle tickets for our charities is this Saturday in Madison from 9:00 to 6:00 PM. We need more Brothers to help with set-up from 8:00 to 9:00 AM and take-down from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This is your opportunity to help all three charities this year: Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, MESH Foundation, and "Toys for Tots." Tickets will be available until the drawing on December 10th. We will initiate FOUR candidates on Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00 PM. Due to our members' LOW ATTENDANCE, we have asked other lodges to help us as we need conductors for the candidates. We have not had this many new initiates in years and your presence would be helpful and/or supportive. Remember that the first meeting in November is our annual lodge day when we vote for the officers for 2025. Unfortunately, we had to suspend 3 members for NPD's at our last meeting so remember you will need a dues card to vote and your dues may be paid for 2025 at any time. Lodge Tour on 09/19/2024

The Lodge hosted a walking tour for the Reidsville City's Historical Preservation Commission. It was a great opportunity to share the rich history of our lodge and Masonic traditions. It’s fantastic that WBRS Earl Moore and Paul Tutherow, along with other brothers, were there to answer questions and engage with the visitors. |
