No October Stated Communication on 10/04/2024
French Broad No. 292 Grand Lodge Of North Carolina, A.F. & A.M. |
Greetings Brethren, As all of our area is severely affected by the recent storm, The Grand Lodge advises that we not meet until conditions improve. I went into Marshall on Saturday afternoon, and found that water had been in the first floor of our building about eight feet deep, but did not reach the ceiling. The windows and door were blown out. Structural damage was not readily apparent. FEMA is to make inspections in the town and our insurance carrier has been contacted. The road south of town is washed away. No utilities are operable. Please check on brothers that you know of and let us know if anyone needs assistance. There are still widespread outages of electricity, phone, internet and cell coverage. Resources are available in the area to help where focus is needed. Now is the time to check on any of our widows. Every human being has a claim on our kind offices, especially now. Thank you all for your efforts to help the community rebuild. Let's keep one another in continued thoughts and earnest prayers in the days ahead. May the Lord keep and bless you.
