Welcome to East Bay Lodge No. 264!
As Michigan Freemasons we embrace the tenets of Friendship, Morality, and Brotherly Love. We do this by using the teachings of Freemasonry to better ourselves, our community, and each other. Please feel free to browse our site and learn more about us. We hope this site interests you into becoming a better man and joining the greatest and largest Fraternity in the world.
Our Lodge has been serving Brethren and the community for over 150 years! Initially formed and maintained by early farmers, loggers, merchants, and settlers in the East Bay area (the current Acme and Williamsburg area) just East of Traverse City, Michigan, the Lodge continues it's tradition of casual, close-knit, earnest Brothers who are intimately linked to each other and the community. You'll find that many of the roads and parks in the area are named after our past Worshipful Masters, as the Masons have a long and proud tradition of community involvement. We pride ourselves in the serious work of self-improvement in a supportive brotherhood using the teachings and tenets of Freemasonry as our guideposts.
Our Lodge is located on M-72 East, just east of the intersection of M-31, in the village of Acme along the beautiful shores of East Grand Traverse Bay. Our Lodge is housed in a former schoolhouse built in the late 1800's. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month for dinner at 6:00 PM, with the gavel falling at 7:00 PM. The Masonic Fraternity does not invite anyone to become a member, instead we wait patiently for the special man to knock on our door and seek admittance. Perhaps your visit here is that "knock" on our outer door!
