| Brothers, Please find in this flyer a PDF file containing a formal invitation to our 2026 Festive Board Celebration on August 15th in conjunction with Howell #38. Social hour begins at 5:00pm. Dinner starts at 6:00pm. Festive Ritual begins at 7:00pm. There is a $20 plate fee to attend and RSVPs are requested to Brother Will Budnick or Brandon Benson (Howell Lodge). There is a menu included in the attached invitation for your information. If you will have a speaking role in the ritual celebration, you must wear tux (black tie). All others are expected to wear suit and tie. Speakers will be informed of their participation prior to the event. If you are planning to partake in the consumption of your own beverages during the celebration, please make sure you arrange for safe travels home. We hope to see you soon! Dear Brothers, We are pleased to announce the return of the joint Brighton-Howell Masonic Festive Board for the 2026 Masonic year. The event will be held on Saturday, August 15th, at Brighton Masonic Lodge with Dinner at 6:00PM, event at 7:00PM. Please save the date in anticipation of the event. For those less familiar, the Masonic Festive Board is a celebration of brotherhood and masonic ideals that takes place at a hosting lodge. It is a wonderful dinner and social event that also has its own ancient ritual in which we all participate after conclusion of the meal. The event is for Mason's only, and EAs and FCs are welcome to participate and join us in celebration. We expect the menu to be finalized this week with appetizers, a choice of two entrees, vegetable sides, and a dessert. There is a $20 plate fee to attend this event that can be payable in cash or check to either myself (Will Budnick, Brighton Lodge), Brandon Benson (Howell Lodge), or your lodge's secretaries. If you provide money to the secretary, please inform them of the nature of the money so that they can properly inform us that you have paid. Beverage refreshments are welcome at your own expense and are recommended particularly if you will require your own special variety. It is also recommended that if you will partake in the celebrations that you arrange for safe transportation home from the festive board. Please save the date on your calendars, and reach out to myself or Brandon Benson if you have further questions. If you wish to attend this event, we ask that you RSVP by August 01st to ensure we have an accurate headcount. | Brothers of Brighton Lodge, The meeting of the NPD (Non-payment of Dues) committee will be Thursday, June 11th at Brighton Lodge this week. The meeting will start promptly at 7pm and last approximately an hour. Please allow extra time in case the meeting runs over. Refreshment will be provided. All members of the NPD committee must attend. All Brighton Master Masons are invited to attend. Agenda for meeting as follows: 1) Review the blue book in regard to the proper process for NPD 2) Review the list of brothers who are to be suspended for NPD at the September meeting. Make corrections and updates. 3) Assign brothers to contact those members on the NPD list and make all attempts to reach them by the September stated meeting. Brethren, we are saddened to inform you that our Brother Hoyt Huskey laid down his working tools and entered the celestial lodge on January 30, 2026. Br. Hoyt was raised to the sublime decree of a MM on February 21, 1964 at Architect-University Lodge #569. He transferred and became a regular active member of Brighton #247 Masonic Lodge in 2024. Hoyt was also a member of Valley of Michigan Scottish Rite and a member of Detroit Moslem Shriners where he was an honorary member of the Motor City Nobels Unit (MO-CI-NO). Hoyt is known for his positive and friendly attitude and his passion to bring joy and put smiles on children’s faces. Viewing and Masonic Services will take place: Saturday 2/7/26 Keehn-Griffen Funeral Home 706 W. The disc golf event will be a one-disc challenge against both courses with discs provided by Brighton Lodge. The picnic food and beverages will be provided by Brighton Masonic Lodge. There is no charge for this event except for a $10 parking fee to the Washtenaw County Parks. Guests are welcome to leave donations for our scholarship fund or bring a dish to pass but as stated there will be plenty of food for all. To help us plan properly, we please ask for a head count.
