Brethren: We have a lot going on in the next few weeks. I hope that you can come and join with us. Tuesday, January 21st, at 6, we will open the lodge on an emergent communication and then close the lodge, followed by a meal provided by Worshipful Brother Darrell Slaughter. This Emergent Communication will be in honor of the 100th anniversary of the lodge charter dated January 21, 1925. M W Mac Sigmon, Past Grand Master will be our guest speaker as well as W. Bro. Ed Buchanan who will give us some interesting facts on our lodge Thursday, January 23rd at 7pm, we will have an Emergent Communication for the purpose of conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree. February 3 – Session 1 of the required yearly Lecture Service. Black Mountain will host this instruction beginning at 6 PM with Biltmore and Swannanoa Lodges attending. The Grand Lodge requires 5 officers and at least 2 members from each lodge to be present. February 4 – Session 2 of the required yearly Lecture Service. Biltmore Lodge will host this event beginning at 7 PM followed by the opening of the lodge and the continuation of the Lecture Service. February 15 – The Grand Lodge requires odd numbered districts to hold a School of Instruction on odd numbered years. This said, we are in District 39 and Biltmore Lodge will host this school beginning at 8 AM. The fall back date if weather should be a problem is February 22 at 8 AM. I hope that you can come and be with us for these events. |

| Good Saturday afternoon. Our November Stated Communication will be held on Monday, November 4th. Meal at 6:15 pm and the Lodge will open at 7 pm. You will get to hear a report on our Annual Communication, reports on our members that had major flood damage as well as other business to come before the lodge and then we will elect the 2025 Officers for your lodge. Come and be a part of it. Several have asked but the new 2025 membership cards have not yet arrived from the Grand Lodge. We will always take your payment but we have no card to give you yet. Our dues are still $100.00 plus the per capita levied by Grand Lodge ($35.00) and our $1.00 assessment to the George Washington Memorial. So $136.00. Hope to see you Monday evening. |

To make this request, sign in to your Grand View account and then click on “My Profile”. Once there scroll down and click on “Communication Preferences”. Under “Grand Lodge Options” check the box next to “Direct Mail - The NC Mason (printed). You can also pick up a copy at the lodge if you would like but we will not be paying the postage to mail them. In the U S Mail this week, I received our shipment so I will place them at the lodge for you to pick up at your convenience. | Black Mountain Lodge will hold it's July Stated next Monday evening, July 8th Hot Dogs & Hamburgers and all the trimmings will be ready at 6:15 pm and the Lodge will open at 7 pm Brother Bucky Hanks from Biltmore Lodge #446 will be providing our Masonic Education for the evening. On Tuesday night, Biltmore is having a 3rd Degree if you would like to attend. Our Grand Master of North Carolina, M Wor. Don Kehler will be visiting with us and presenting 25, 50 and 60 Year Membership awards to several members. Our Senior Past Master - Wor. Bro. Ed Buchanan will be receiving his Diamond Jubilee Award for his 60 Years of service.
We will be voting on spending funds to get 2 trees taken down. If you know anyone that does tree work and is insured, have them present a bid before 6:30 tomorrow night.
Meal will begin at 6:15 and the Lodge will open at 7 pm.

On Monday evening, March 11th at Biltmore Lodge, our Lecture Service will begin as we will be combining with the officers and members at Biltmore Lodge to get our 5 hours of ritual work in.
Then on Monday, March 18th at Black Mountain Lodge at 6 pm, we will finish our Lecture Service at our lodge. We will be having a 3rd Degree very soon so come out and brush up on a part.

This will be followed by a practice for the 2nd Degre on Monday, February 27th at 7 pm.

Several members have asked about paying their dues online as they have done before. The old system went away earlier this year and no longer works. Emails came out from Grand Lodge about this and I have included parts of it for you to be able to create your log into the new system and be able to pay online if you wish.
The Grand Lodge is happy to announce our new member portal and communication hub called Grand View has launched and is ready for you to use. Grand View is an excellent tool for you to become and remain engaged with North Carolina Freemasonry—from dues payments, to personalized Masonic education, to communication between the brethren.

Our November Stated Communication will be held on Monday night, November 6th at 7 p.m.
We will be voting on some candidates as well as electing the 2024 Officers of our Lodge.
We have not received the 2024 Membership Cards from Grand Lodge yet so no dues notices have been sent out. After the Grand Lodge Delegates votes to raise the per capita fees, dues will be $136,00 for 2024 however. Our dues are $100.00 plus the per capita fees that we pay to Grand Lodge.
