Brethren,
I was disappointed to cancel our first meeting of the year, but safety being the top priority, I decided that was in the best interest for all. I hope everyone weathered the storm well and stayed safe.
There were many items to be discussed on Tuesday night and amongst those was the annual lecture service or School of Instruction. This year’s School of Instruction is to be held in Lillington on Saturday, January 20, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. According to the Rules for Governing the Lecture Service:
“There shall be a minimum of seven (five officers and two members) of the lodge present at each Lecture Service session. It is highly preferred that the officer attendance includes all the principal officers and deacons, but all others are encouraged to attend.”
Officers, this is our duty to the lodge. To the others who would like to attend, this is a great time to visit another lodge, meet new brothers, and learn about freemasonry. Did I also mention that they would be serving breakfast?
If you plan on attending and representing our lodge, please follow the link below to sign-up.
I hope to see you there.
Fraternally,
Charles H. Williams, III
