Brethren,
Thursday, 8-1-2024, our Annual Fund Raiser will be coming to an end.  We will be holding our drawing for the eleven winners of our raffle firearms.  We have a sizable amount of tickets still out in your hands, so remember to get your stubs and monies turned in by this Thursday. Drawings will be held after we close the lodge.
Dinner at 6p.
Open at 7p.
Come out and enjoy the evening and invite our Brothers that have been missing for a while.

Brethren,  our annual Gun Raffle is quickly coming to an end.  Our drawing for these firearms will be held at our stated communication on August 1st.  Let's all try to have all monies turned in at our next stated, Thursday July 18th.  This will help to clear our table for our event, August 1st.  Remember, all net proceeds go to our Masonic Charities, so let's try for 100% sales of all tickets this year.  If you have any problems or questions, please contact:

Brothers, 

Please join the Brothers and Officers of Cannon Memorial Lodge #626 and Allen-Graham/Cabarrus Lodge #695 on Saturday, July 13th as the lodges of the Kannapolis Masonic Association celebrate the 50th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone for our lodge building.  The Grand Master of North Carolina, Most Worshipful Brother Don Kehler, will preside over the rededication ceremony.  An Emergent Communication of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina will be opened at 9:30 am. All Master Masons are welcome to attend and the public rededication ceremony will be held at 10:00 am. 

With the dedication ceremony being open to the public, you are encouraged to bring family and friends to celebrate with the brothers of the Kannapolis Masonic Association.  Casual attire is acceptable for brothers and guests not participating in the ceremonies but the Officers of both lodges should be in a dark suit and tie. 

Light breakfast will be provided.

Reminder that we be having the first seession of our School of Instruction Thursday 6:30-9:00pm.  This is great oprotunity for all Brothers to learn more about our ritual work.  The anual requriment is 5 hours with at least 7 total Brothers in attendance, 5 being Officers..

Richard Lewis Funeral  on 03/22/2024

Please join us on 3/23/2023 as we honor Brother Richard Lewis with a Masonic grave side service at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg, father of WB John Lewis.The family is receiving friends from 11:00am-12:45pm at Hartsell Funeral home in Harrisburg, service to follow at 1:00pm.

We will be meeting at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg at 1:00pm, 12015 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28213.  If you are avaible please come out to show the family your support.

Junior Harward  on 02/15/2024

Just spoke with Junior Harward, he was admitted into the hospital this morning with sharp pains.  He is in the ER awaiting a room soon.  He feels good and they have ruled out a heart attack.  He will likely remain in the hospital thru the night, probably more testing tomorrow.  Please keep Junior in your thoughts and prayers.

His three daughters are with him now at Atrium Concord.

Lodge Officer Installation and Other Happenings  on 12/11/2023

I wanted to share some news and happenings pertinent to the lodge. At the December 7th Stated Communication, the following brothers were elected to serve as 2024 officers for Allen-Graham/Cabarrus Lodge #695:
  • Worshipful Master - James Crytser
  • Senior Warden - Jeremy Hilton
  • Junior Warden - Ben Townsend
  • Treasurer - WB Rodney Hinson
  • Secretary - WB James Bailey
The installation of officers, originally scheduled for December 21, is rescheduled for 
January 4th, 2024. The December 21st meeting will be a regular Stated Communication. No meal will be served at both the December 21st meeting and at the installation January 4th, 2024.
 
 
We are participating in Wreaths Across America again this year. This is a project where volunteers place wreaths at the headstones of fallen veterans in the Salisbury National Cemetery. The date for this event is December 16th starting at noon. It is advised to be there by 11:15 due to limited parking. If you plan to go and/or want to carpool, please notify WB Aaron Farmer at (980) 621-7492.
 
 
Our lodge widow list has been updated and we have 41 widows currently. The lodge voted to buy pre-made fruit baskets for delivery December 23rd. We need help with delivery on that morning so please be at the lodge at 9:00 AM for the distribution of the baskets. For those wanting to eat breakfast, we will meet at the Townhouse restaurant in Kannapolis at 8:00 AM before delivering.
 
 
Brother John Graham donated an apron to the lodge which is over 100 years old that belonged to his father, W.B. T.I. Graham. WB T.I. Graham is one of the charter members of our lodge and is the "Graham" in our lodge name. The lodge voted to spend funds to enshrine this apron professionally to preserve it for future Masons. Brother John also donated many old and historic books and other items which are being cataloged for display in our archive.
 
 
Finally brethren, we had 40 brothers at last night's Stated Communication. We average between 35-40 each meeting. These are better than 90% of the lodges in the state but we want an even bigger crowd than these numbers. If you are a brother that has not attended lodge in a while, please come attend YOUR LODGE! If you are worried about getting in, just speak with another brother to help you remember what it takes. I can assure you it will be worth your time. We have a lot of fun at our meetings.
