Letter from the Worshipful Master. March 30, 2025 Fraternal Greetings Brethren of Day Spring Lodge No. 30, I trust this message finds you all well and in good spirits. As many of you recall, at our Annual Meeting in December, the brethren voted to place the Hamden Masonic Temple up for sale. Today, I'm pleased to provide you with an important update on the progress of this endeavor. We received an offer on the building which exceeded our initial asking price. After careful consideration, we accepted this generous offer and are currently working closely with the Grand Lodge to ensure all aspects of the sale comply smoothly with our Masonic guidelines and regulations. At this stage, we await confirmation of a closing date, which we expect will be finalized shortly. Additionally, the buyer has completed their inspection of the property, moving us further along in the process. In preparation for this significant transition, we have secured arrangements with Temple Lodge No. 16, located at 9 Country Club Road, Cheshire, CT 06410. Day Spring Lodge will continue to hold our regular communications at this location, keeping our meeting schedule unchanged, the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM. In place of a second monthly business meeting, we look forward to offering various fellowship opportunities to foster fraternal bonds among our brethren. We are also actively working to update our lodge by-laws to reflect these important changes and anticipate presenting these amendments for your review and approval in the coming months. The effort involved in managing this process has been substantial, and I want to recognize and sincerely thank the dedicated committee of brothers who have worked tirelessly to preserve our lodge's antiquities and historical artifacts. Plans are underway to secure storage facilities as needed to ensure a thorough and respectful reconciliation and transition of our valued possessions. Once the closing date is finalized, we will organize sessions dedicated to packing and storing the lodge's belongings, and I encourage your participation. Brethren, while it has been truly uplifting to see many of you at our recent meetings, I warmly encourage more of you to join us each month. Your presence enriches our lodge and strengthens the fraternal bonds we all deeply cherish. Thank you for your continued support, understanding, and enthusiasm as we navigate this historic transition together. I look forward to sharing more updates with you soon. Warmest fraternal regards, RWB Daniel M. Luft |

Brethren All, We will be holding our Stated Communication on February 5, 2025 at 7:30 PM. Attire is a Dark Suit. We've had an exciting January. January 22, 2025 was the installation of our 2025 Officers. RWB Dan Luft will conduct his first communication as Worshipful Master tomorrow evening. The topic of discussion will be Lodge Core Values. We will discuss what is important to us in masonry and Day Spring Lodge. Some example guiding questions will include items like: What's one word that comes to mind when you think of Freemasonry What three words describe Day Spring Lodge? If we had no building but still had our brotherhood, what would make this lodge meaningful and valuable to you? Please note the updated events coming up for the next two months. See you in lodge, RWB Rob Secretary, Day Spring Lodge #30 | ||||||||||||

Brethren, As we gather with loved ones to celebrate this joyous season, let us reflect on the true meaning of Brotherhood and the bonds we share. This time of year reminds us of the importance of charity, kindness, and the light we bring into each other's lives through our shared labors and fellowship. May the light of the Great Architect shine upon you and your families, filling your homes with peace, love, and happiness. Let us also remember our Brothers who cannot be with us this season and keep them in our thoughts and prayers. From the officers and members of Day Spring Lodge, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, prosperity, and the continued journey toward wisdom and self-improvement. Stay safe, stay well, and let the spirit of the season guide us in the coming year. Fraternally, |
