Brothers All, At the courtesy of our Worshipful Master, Dan Luft, I am writing to share a brief update for August 2026. We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful, safe summer with family and friends. As noted on our previous trestle board, we planned our first Wednesday meeting in August as a non-stated communication to serve as a placeholder for any necessary business. Please note that there will be no meeting on August 5th. We will return to labor on September 2nd for a joint communication with Cosmopolitan Lodge #125. Be on the lookout for additional details coming later this month. Additionally, while we discussed holding a Lodge outing at Giant Valley Polo, scheduling conflicts will not permit it this year, and the Worshipful Master has decided to forgo the event. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns, and especially if there is any way we can support or assist a Brother in need. Letter to the Brethren- Dear Brother, Fraternal greetings. Day Spring Lodge is entering a new chapter, and we are inviting Brothers who are interested in helping write it. On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6:30 PM, we will gather at Counter Weight Brewing in Cheshire, Connecticut, for an informal evening of fellowship, food, and conversation about the future of Day Spring Lodge. The purpose of this gathering is simple: we are looking for Brothers who will consider affiliating with Day Spring Lodge and joining us in the work of revitalization. We are not asking any Brother to leave a lodge he already loves or supports. We are looking for Masons who want to become part of Day Spring’s future, attend regularly, contribute their talents, and help shape a lodge experience that is meaningful, active, and rewarding. Over the past two years, Day Spring has benefited from new leadership, renewed energy, and a stronger financial footing. Now we are ready to continue the work of building a lodge focused on Masonic education, festive boards, fellowship, good lodge culture, and the kind of experiences that make Brothers want to come back. We will share where Day Spring is headed, but we also want to hear from you. What should a lodge be? What makes a Masonic evening worth attending? What kind of fellowship, education, and experience would make you excited to come to lodge? Day Spring Lodge will provide pizza and food from Ritual Pizza at Counterweight Brewing. | Letter from the Worshipful Master. March 30, 2025 Fraternal Greetings Brethren of Day Spring Lodge No. 30, I trust this message finds you all well and in good spirits. As many of you recall, at our Annual Meeting in December, the brethren voted to place the Hamden Masonic Temple up for sale. Today, I'm pleased to provide you with an important update on the progress of this endeavor. We received an offer on the building which exceeded our initial asking price. After careful consideration, we accepted this generous offer and are currently working closely with the Grand Lodge to ensure all aspects of the sale comply smoothly with our Masonic guidelines and regulations. At this stage, we await confirmation of a closing date, which we expect will be finalized shortly. Additionally, the buyer has completed their inspection of the property, moving us further along in the process. In preparation for this significant transition, we have secured arrangements with Temple Lodge No. 16, located at 9 Country Club Road, Cheshire, CT 06410. Day Spring Lodge will continue to hold our regular communications at this location, keeping our meeting schedule unchanged, the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM. In place of a second monthly business meeting, we look forward to offering various fellowship opportunities to foster fraternal bonds among our brethren. We are also actively working to update our lodge by-laws to reflect these important changes and anticipate presenting these amendments for your review and approval in the coming months. The effort involved in managing this process has been substantial, and I want to recognize and sincerely thank the dedicated committee of brothers who have worked tirelessly to preserve our lodge's antiquities and historical artifacts. Plans are underway to secure storage facilities as needed to ensure a thorough and respectful reconciliation and transition of our valued possessions. Once the closing date is finalized, we will organize sessions dedicated to packing and storing the lodge's belongings, and I encourage your participation. | A Fellowship Night was held at Haven Beer Company in Hamden on February 19, 2025. A small but hearty group of brothers met for good food and conversation and of course great brotherhood and fellowship. We hope to see more brothers attend some of our future events. There will be a Table Lodge on March 17, 2025 hosted together by Day Spring Lodge and Meridian Lodge at Meridian Lodge, 35 Pleasant Street Meriden at 7:00 PM.
